REQUIREMENTS:
- Someone who has a passion for massage therapy, loves helping people, and has a caring, compassionate personality
- Must be a Licensed Massage Therapist by the Virginia Board of Nursing
- Must carry comprehensive liability insurance policy
- Comfortable with following protocols and upholding the highest level of integrity
- A passionate professional who thrives by providing the ultimate client experience
- Strong verbal communication to understand client needs to establish expectations and goals.
- Outstanding written communication to record treatment notes.
- A team player - respectful, supportive of all team members and management while maintaining a positive, fun and relaxing environment.
- Be able to explain the therapeutic benefits of massage to our guests
- Always working in your scope of practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome guests and checkout your client.
- Conducting health intake to determine client needs/goals and any contraindications to massage and have client fill out required paperwork.
- Checking before starting if the service booked is the correct one to best addresses client needs based on intake and verbal communication. Explain differences and recommend if needed and provide customized massage.
- Following all procedures and guidelines while administering massage therapy. I.e., adhere to draping policy, refer guests with medical problems to their physicians, adhere to time length and treatment protocols when administering treatments.
- Performing quality, therapeutic bodywork that meets client's needs within the scope of practice and guidelines of Virginia Board of Nursing.
- Recommending follow-up treatment plans and services.
- Advice on self care activities/stretches to maintain and prolong the results/ benefits of massage to support client"s wellness and health goals.
- Room setup/ cleaning and resetting in between clients.
This is an Independent Contractor position and compensation is a % split of revenue.
